The Ink & Asana 5-Day Sanctuary
Welcome to Day 2! The Day 2 video and writing prompt options are below. I invite you to review the writing prompts before you play the video, to help you focus as you move.
Take your time, and enjoy this mini-break that you have given yourself: just a few moments of mindful movement to connect with your body, then some thoughtful journaling to connect with your mind. Together, they nourish the soul.
Day 2
Day 2 is all about GROUNDING. We’re connecting to the earth, and also that place inside that is always peaceful, always joyful, for no particular reason at all. -Laura
Writing Prompt: Stress/Overwhelm
-
✺
Stress makes us live all up in our heads, spinning in “sky” energy. We need to bring it down to earth. We do that by grounding into the present moment. Finish this sentence five times, in five different ways: “Right here, right now, I am….” (e.g. safe, sitting, smiling, breathing, capable, creative)
Writing Prompt: Life’s Transitions
-
✺
You are the bridge between generations—perhaps caring for parents and launching children. It is easy to lose yourself in the middle. Write about the “center channel” of you. Who are you when you aren’t being a mother, daughter, or partner? What is one core truth that stays stable?
Writing Prompt: Grief/Loss
-
✺
When we lose someone, our world feels unmoored. The Horse Stance we did in the video reminds us that the earth is still there holding us. Write a letter to the person you have lost, telling them one thing that is anchoring you to the present moment today.
